Planescape: Torment, the Novelization

This is a novelization of a game set in the Forgotten Realms universe:

Sigil. The City of Doors. The Cage. A torus-shaped city, floating above an infinitely tall spire, and the purported center of the multiverse. It is a city of portals that can lead to any place in the planes, where angels and demons can share a drink, and where Belief can take literal form.

It is simultaneously the home and the prison of the unknowable and deadly Lady of Pain, who forbids all deities and worship of any being, especially herself.

In this city swarming with the uncountable masses of every creature from across the planes, a man with no memories and a thick hide of scars awakens in the Mortuary, with nothing to his name, save a talking skull named Morte, and a series of questions:

Where am I?

Who am I?

And why can I not die?

Follow the journey of an immortal on a seemingly endless quest to discover Himself, recover his Mortality, and answer a simple riddle:

What can change the nature of a man?
